About Me:
|
New to this social site, & I'm happy to see & be a part of a social site specifically for Martial Artists =D. A constant trainer, I constantly want to improve myself as a true Martial Artist w/o any regard of loyalty to disciplines (or styles, if you want to call it that way). Whatever style it is, as long as it suits me, & I can apply those techniques in to my way of fighting/defending/practicing, I'll take it & make it a part of my training/me as a whole, be the techniques be deadly or not. A Christian & I'm joyful to be one =D. I also constantly strive to improve myself by doing constant research on other MA disciplines, watching MA videos, reading MA books of any kind (philosophy or teachings), shadow boxing, exercising (to condition my body & maintain my current flexibility, if not become more flexible), nutrition, & anything that's affecting the human body. Because of doing MA, & being watchful on what I eat, I lost weight (about 40+ lbs. or so). Because of that, I'm so happy that I can do some MA moves that I can only dream of doing XD. Single =P. As stated, I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona =). Think that's it >_>. If you want to know more about me, just hit me a message via PM or comment on my profile, & I'll be more than glad to answer/help you w/in my own capabilities =D. I guarantee that we'll learn from each other =). God bless you, & have a wonderful, blessed day =D! Keep on training XD!

Jayham posted a comment on the group Daily Training: I'm still trying to diversify my training, since I hit another plateau =/. Variety of push ups during a training day, divided into 5-20 reps each, is good. I'm not saying that you should apply the max reps you're doing w/ the normal push up, 'cause that'll really tear your muscles >_>. Next goal: Adding single handed push ups in my routine. A LONG WAYS off T_T... ...

Jayham posted a comment on the group Boxing: Very true. The only things that makes a boxer vulnerable are adaptability to the environment/opponent/situation & only using hands. They are one of the toughest ma'ists out there, along w/ wrestlers, & it shows in the ring, w/c is why I don't get some people belittling boxing =/.For punches: I've been screwing around doing a jab w/ a twisting motion on impact (I forgot what it's called, though =/), & I can say it's plausibly effective. I haven't tried it on a bag though, but it strains the shoulder in the long run. Is it wrong if the shoulder is strained, or you just need to build your shoulder muscles =/?...
